Through the Girl Guides Association Malaysia (GGAM) Global Ambassador Leaders Programme, a delegation of 6 leaders and 8 Girl Guides has embarked on GGAM’s 2nd WAGGGS Leadership and Global Unity Visit to Our Chalet World Centre in Adelboden, Switzerland.
The participating leaders represent GGAM Exco ,Trainers Council and State Commissioner from Perak, Selangor, FT Kuala Lumpur ,and Putrajaya, while the Girl Guides hail from Penang, Perak, FT Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Terengganu, and Kelantan. Championing inclusivity, the delegation proudly includes participants from B40 backgrounds, as well as Jennyfer Ellisa Anak Thomas, an Orang Asli Guide from Rompin, Pahang.
A heartfelt send-off was held as teachers, parents, grandparents, family, and friends from various states gathered to bid their loved ones farewell.
Visiting Our Chalet is a deeply meaningful milestone. Throughout this journey, our Guides will experience the international heart of Guiding, renew their Guide Promise, and receive their pins in an unforgettable ceremony at their global home.
We hope our delegates enjoy their leadership training amidst the beauty of Switzerland in autumn and return with lasting inspiration and knowledge to empower and train fellow Girl Guides.
